How to Make Time for Meditation in a Busy Life

A 30-day online challenge to make meditation part of your life

Maybe you like the idea of having a regular meditation practice but you have a very busy life?

We all have a lot to care for—family, work, friends and finding some time for ourselves.

Is there even any room to fit meditation into our daily round?

One place to start is to ask yourself these questions:

Do you want to be present and awake for each moment of your life?

Is connecting with other people and building good relationships important to you?

Do you want to develop your resilience in order to deal with life’s ups and downs?

Is having peace of mind something that is important to you?

We need to stop separating meditation from life

Each activity in every day can be used for meditation

We can discover the possibilities for meditation in life

We will tackle the difficult stuff head on by
looking at our habits that get in the way

Our habit of always doing, rather than being

Our busy schedules

Our habit of trying to do too much

All our thoughts, worries and concerns that keep our minds to busy

You will learn about the benefits of meditation and how current research backs this up

Meet Maureen,
your course facilitator

Hello there

I have been meditating for many years and I am still finding out more about it all the time. I don’t think you ever just become a meditator and then carry on from there. There is always more to learn and to discover. My work means that I get to talk to other people about meditation and to share their personal journey with them for a while. The content of this course is based on much of the coaching and workshops that I have done with people over the years. So often people tell me how much they want to meditate but they can’t find the time. It’s those people who inspired this course.

If you are interested to know more you might enjoy this blog I wrote, How You Can Meditate Anytime and Anywhere

This course is arranged as a 30-day challenge to help people develop a goal that is reachable. The whole course is made up of short, practical sessions so it can fit around a busy schedule.

What people have said about the course

The combination of Maureen’s training and meditative experience together with the evidence from the scientific “heavy-weights” in meditation research make this course come “alive”. Everyone could benefit from it; beginners and experienced meditators alike.

Mary Duffy, Edinburgh Scotland

I loved this course—there were so many great videos and quotes, from meditation teachers to scientists in cartoons and interviews, such a lot of variety to inspire us. Knowing the science behind the advice, for instance how we form habits, is really good for reinforcing what is being taught here.  The meditations are so varied and well-presented that we all have a life time of practices available to us. The advice for pacing the introduction of meditation into our daily life is really helpful. The benefits of meditation are made really clear to us. Now we just have to do it!

Sue Cullen, Newcastle UK

A very impressive course containing a wealth of excellent materials. A bonus is that it’s very straightforward to navigate—even for people not so comfortable with online technology!

John Bald, Edinburgh Scotland.
